Are you considering starting your own business? This book can help!
I've had the privilege of reading a preview copy of "Two Weeks Notice," written by one of my mentors in online entrepreneurship, Amy Porterfield.
Over the years, I've listened to many episodes of her podcast "Online Marketing Made Easy," attended several of her conferences which she calls "The Entrepreneur Experience," both online and in person in San Diego, and participated in her training and mentorship programs. Amy's book feels as genuine and personal as what I've taken part in before. A book full of strategies with practical checklists to prepare you to become an entrepreneur.
The book is aimed at those who are considering starting their own business alongside their employment or those who want to quit and start their own business full-time. In her book "Two Weeks Notice," Amy not only tells about her own entrepreneurial journey but also gives you practical tips step by step on how to go from employee to business owner.
Amy is as open and honest about her successes as her setbacks, which is refreshing and rewarding. We all have ways of limiting ourselves from reaching our goals, for example, insecurity, the law of Jante, I can't surely... etc. Amy talks about her own insecurities and the strategies she uses herself to overcome them to get closer to her goals.
Topics such as how difficult it can be to take the step from employee to entrepreneur are also discussed, as well as the injustice that many women do not have the same level of salary as men for equal work and the inequality for women who belong to minority groups where the wage difference can be even greater. This global challenge that Amy highlights in the book encourages women, even more, to start their own businesses, at least alongside their employment, to be able to influence their own income level.
I took my time reading the book with a pen in hand (as usual when I read business books). The book is no more than 275 pages and is a quick read. However, I recommend that you don't read it in one go but really work through the questions and strategies that Amy brings up and answer or reflect on them before you read on. Even I, who have been in Amy's world for many years and been an entrepreneur for 25+ years, got several good tips and ideas that I plan to use in the future.
If you're thinking about starting your own business, I highly recommend this book because it can give you insights and knowledge that make you ready to take the step.
Right now, when you pre-order the book, you get a free ticket to Amy's launch event with several guest lecturers happening online on February 25, 2023.
Update: Amy is still offering you a bonus when you order the book "Two Weeks Notice". Read more and order the book here to claim your bonus.
