Gain Insight and Clarity by Reflecting and Planning
As we wind down another week, it's the perfect time to pause and reflect. At Business Heroes®, we believe in the power of weekly reflection.
Why? Because taking a moment to look back helps us move forward more effectively.
Every Friday, we encourage our members in Business Heroes® Academy to reflect on the past week and plan for the upcoming one. This simple routine significantly optimizes both time and energy, setting the stage for a productive start to the next week.
In Business Heroes® Academy, we do weekly online group meetings on Mondays called Weekly Boosters. Our members discuss their reflections in the meeting and commit to doing the "Big 3" activities that are crucial for their business growth. These meetings are vital for maintaining accountability, especially for solo entrepreneurs or those with smaller teams.
While routine tasks are necessary to keep the business running, it's the focus on the "Big 3" that truly advances us toward our goals.
Get inspired by these questions our member ask themselves to guide their reflection:
- What significant activities did I perform this week? (List 3-5 items.)
- What is the status of the 3 activities I decided to perform this week? (% completed)
- What worked well? Where can improvements be made?
- What should I continue, improve, start, or stop doing? What do I need help with?
- What training did I participate in this week? What were my biggest takeaways?
Reflecting on our achievements and setbacks is a crucial step to learning.
Follow the process our clients use to plan the week:
- Review my goals for the year/quarter/month. What activities should I perform next week to achieve them? Schedule when I will perform them.
- Review my ongoing projects. What activities should I perform next week to move them forward? Schedule when I will perform them.
- Which activities should I move from this week to the next? Schedule when I will perform them.
- Decide on my 3 most significant activities for next week to achieve my goals/carry out my projects. Schedule when I will perform them.
Planning for the next week enables you to spring into action faster and use your time efficiently, moving you toward your goals.
